Do It Yourself

  1. How does the SPT work?

The SPT is a treatment that penetrates into tile, ceramic, porcelain, and unpainted concrete. SPT also penetrates into some marble and granite (testing is recommended when working with marble or granite).

  2. How is the SPT applied?

Step 1: Sweep area and use SPT Degreaser and hot water with a deck brush or power scrubber. Let it stand 1-2 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Surface does not need to be dry before applying the non-slip—just be sure soap has been removed and there is no standing water.

Step 2: Spray (common hand pump sprayer) SPT non-slip on degreased area. Be sure to split large areas into smaller sections when applying non-slip. You want to keep the area you are applying non-slip to saturated at all times, If the non-slip is drying between 10-15 min. then just spray more SPT non-slip over the area. When area is covered let it set for about 10-15 min.

Step 3: After 10-15 min. rinse with cold water to activate the non-slip. Squeegee the water into the drain or remove it with a shop vacuum. There is no curing time required; you can walk over floor as soon as the application is complete.

  3. What is the difference between all your products?

SPC is a roll-on surface coating that comes in clear or white

SPT is a treatment that penetrates into the surface.

SPS is a roll on paint available in 4 colors. This product changes the appearance of the surface.

SPM is a mat that that lays over hazardous slippery floors. It is extremely durable yet light. The Grip Rock and Super G floor mats stand up well to industrial spills and kitchen chemicals.

  4. Is there warranty on any of your products?

SPC, SPT, and SPM all have a 1-year product replacement warranty as long as proper maintenance is followed.

SPS does not have a warranty because the product life depends on climate, traffic, and environment. SPS can last anywhere from 1–5 years before a re-application is required.

  5. Who are these products available to?

These products are available to anyone looking to solve a slippery-when-wet condition.

The SPC and SPT are available in convenient home or trial sizes for the homeowner who needs an application in the tub/shower or for the contractor who wants one for a demo.
